We collect information that you provide directly to us, including:

• Name and email address when you create an account
• Payment information (processed securely through Stripe — we do not store card details)
• PDF documents you upload for processing
• Usage data and preferences related to your use of the Service

We also collect anonymized usage and analytics data via Google Analytics (with your consent).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve our Service
• Process your transactions and manage your account
• Process and analyze your PDF documents
• Send you technical notices, updates, and support messages
• Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
• Monitor and analyze usage patterns and trends

We do not use the contents of your uploaded PDF documents for AI model training, analytics, or any purpose other than processing your specific job. Your documents are processed and then deleted — they are never retained or repurposed.

4. Data Storage and Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information:

• Your PDF documents are processed securely and deleted automatically within 24 hours of upload via an enforced storage lifecycle policy
• Your files are encrypted both in transit and at rest (AES-256 server-side encryption)
• Access to your personal information is restricted to authorized personnel only
• We regularly review and update our security practices

However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.

5. Data Retention

We retain different categories of data for different periods:

• Uploaded PDF documents: Automatically deleted from our servers within 24 hours of upload via an enforced storage lifecycle policy. They are not retained beyond what is needed to process your job.
• Processed output files (remediated PDF and validation report): Automatically deleted 30 days after your job completes via an enforced storage lifecycle policy. Please download your files within 30 days of job completion.
• Account data (name, email, usage history): Retained for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account or personal data, we will delete it within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

6. Third-Party Services

We may use third-party services to help us operate our Service and administer activities on our behalf, such as:

• Stripe for payment processing
• Amazon Web Services for cloud hosting and secure document processing
• Google Gemini API for AI-assisted document analysis. Content you submit for processing is sent to Google's API solely to generate structural analysis and image descriptions. Google does not use data submitted through the Gemini API to train its models. Google's privacy policy governs Google's handling of this data.
• Google Analytics to understand how our Service is used (only enabled with your consent)

These third parties have access to your information only to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Each third party's own privacy policy governs their handling of data they receive.

We use cookies to operate the Service and, with your consent, to analyze how it is used. Cookies are small text files stored on your device. We use two categories of cookies:

Necessary cookies (always active)

• Session / authentication cookies — set by our platform to keep you logged in during your session. Required for the Service to function.
• cc_cookie — stores your cookie consent preferences. Expires after 365 days.

Analytics cookies (only set with your consent)

• _ga, _ga_*, _gid — set by Google Analytics to measure site traffic and usage patterns. These cookies do not collect personally identifiable information. Google's privacy policy applies to data collected via these cookies.

When you first visit the Service, a consent banner gives you the choice to accept or decline analytics cookies.
